I am Keith Buckner, the owner of BlackBench Photography. I served in the US Marine Corps from 2000-2004. Once my service ended with the Marine Corps I became a sheriff’s deputy in a small north Georgia town and later went on to be a machinist. As a machinest I’ve produced parts for the DOD as well as the aerospace, nuclear, and gun industries. I currently work for a medical industry producing wire for various medical devices. 

My journey with photography began back in 1996-1997 when I got my hands on my first camera, a Pentax 35mm film camera. Once I had it in my hands I was instantly in love with it and I immediately started expanding my gear with new lenses. With these new lenses I then went out and captured moments of everything around me.

While my photography journey has been off and on, it has remained a key part of my life. In the last 2 to 3 years I’ve began to shoot more consistently and have sharpened my skills as much as possible. I now like focus on real estate, sports, and event photography.

Capturing candid moments is what truly fuels my love for photography. I believe these unposed and spontaneous shots tell the most genuine and pure stories of the moment. Although sports photography is my favorite to shoot, I’m versatile and open to a wide range of projects. Aside from real estate and event/portrait sessions, I have also done other shoots such as maternity shoots, engagements, senior sessions, media day shoots, birthday parties, and work gatherings.  Aside from that, I’m excited to bring my passion and your vision to whatever project you have in mind (weddings not included), ensuring each moment is captured with creativity and authenticity.

As a photographer, I am actively involved in supporting veteran organizations and giving back to the community. I believe that my photography skills can make a positive impact and I am always looking for ways to use my talents to support various causes and events.
